150lb crossbow any good for hunting?
right, on “ronniesunshines” there is a 150lb crossbow. i was just wondering wether it would be any good for hunting. when i go hunting my targets will generally be stuff like pidgeons, rabbits maybe a phesant if i can get a clean shot. problem is i would like to be deadly accurate. fro 69 pounds it seems like quite a good offer. its 250fps and looks pretty cool with the wooden stock. thanks guys

Sure, but the only real advantage over a compound bow is that you won’t have to hold the string back manually. Compound bows exist that shoot well over 300 fps.
For rabbits you might want to look at blunt tipped bolts, and for pigeons, there are specialty tips that look like four loops of wire. Be aware that bolts with broadheads or even field points will go right though small game and can go on to damage non-target items, or embed themselves deeply into the ground and be lost.
